The Consulate-General of Japan in Toronto is seeking an individual for the position of Official Driver. This is a full time job starting in July 6, 2015. The term of the contract is for 2 years, and may be renewable depending on merit/success.Applicants must submit a detailed résumé with the name and contact numbers of two references to rsvp@to.mofa.go.jp by June 21st, 2015.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive the official cars of the Consulate-General for both the staff and visitors
- Assist with moving and transportation of various goods and luggage
- Repairing and maintenance of the facilities and household of official residence
- Other duties as required
Qualifications required:
- At least (3) three years of working experience
- Driver’s license holder for (5) five years at least
- Must Possess a valid full G driver’s license
- Have a clean driving record for the past three years. (Required to provide a certified 3-year statement of Driving Record from Ontario's Ministry of Transportation)
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Excellent communication skills
- Punctuality
- Canadian citizen or Canadian Permanent Residence Status holder
Qualifications preferred:
- Previous experience in driver’s and/or handyman’s jobs
- In-depth knowledge on cars
- Skills in using MS Office programs
