Consul-General Attends Ohara School of Ikebana’s Annual Spring Floral Show, an Official Event Celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Japan-Canada Diplomatic Relations

Consul-General of Japan Takako Ito attended the Ohara School of Ikebana Toronto Chapter’s Annual Spring Floral Show at the Toronto Botanical Gardens on April 15. This ikebana exhibit was one of the official events commemorating the 90th anniversary of Japan-Canada diplomatic relations. In her remarks, the Consul-General said that the universal love for flowers is an ideal gateway for Canadians to learn more about Japanese culture. Among the works exhibited were those expressing the landscape of Japan and Canada thereby commemorating the 90th anniversary.
